Halal food? Not to worry. Near the University are many halal restaurants and takeouts.
International Foods is situated in Portswood. Most of the Muslims go to them for halal meat. You can easily take the U1C to get to Portswood or walk from the university. As for the eateries, don't worry. They'll send out flyers to your doorstep (even in the University Accommodation!). You need not be a vegetarian whilst in the UK.
You a movie-goer? Never fear, Southampton has two cinemas you can go to. Usually, it's better to book tickets online or call in advanced just in case.
